The biggest race on the motocross calendar is nearly here. The Motocross of Nations returns on October 3–5, 2025, and for the first time ever it will be hosted at Ironman Raceway in Indiana, USA. National pride, stacked teams, and a fresh venue mean this year’s edition could go down as one of the most exciting in recent memory.

Ironman’s Turn on the World Stage
Ironman Raceway is no stranger to epic battles, having hosted some incredible AMA Pro Motocross rounds over the years. But the MXoN is a different beast. Bringing together the fastest riders from around the globe, all racing for their countries, the atmosphere will be unlike anything Ironman has ever seen. With its big jumps, flowing layout, and home support for Team USA, the stage is set for fireworks.
The Teams to Watch
Team USA
• Chase Sexton (MXGP)
• Haiden Deegan (MX2)
• Eli Tomac (Open)
On home soil, Team USA are always dangerous. Sexton’s precision, Tomac’s experience, and Deegan’s raw speed give them one of the strongest line ups in years.
Team Australia
• Jett Lawrence (MXGP)
• Kyle Webster (MX2)
• Hunter Lawrence (Open)
The reigning champions are back with the Lawrence brothers leading the way. After claiming their first ever MXoN title in 2024, they’ll be desperate to prove it wasn’t a one off.
Team Netherlands
• Glenn Coldenhoff (MXGP)
• Kay de Wolf (MX2)
• Calvin Vlaanderen (Open)
Always a threat, the Dutch team brings a mix of youth and experience. If everything clicks, they’re more than capable of challenging for the podium.
Team France
• Romain Febvre (MXGP)
• Mathis Valin (MX2)
• Maxime Renaux (Open)
France arrives with another stacked roster. Febvre and Renaux bring serious firepower, and rookie Valin has the chance to shine on the biggest stage.

Team Spain
• Rubén Fernández (MXGP)
• Guillem Farrés (MX2)
• Francisco García “Carbonero” (Open)
Spain may not have Jorge Prado this year, but that doesn’t mean they should be overlooked. Fernández has proven himself at MXGP level, and with Farrés and García backing him up, this youthful line up could surprise a few.
Storylines to Follow
• USA at home – Can Sexton, Tomac, and Deegan deliver the win in front of a home crowd?
• Australia chasing history – The Lawrences want to go back-to-back after breaking through last year.
• Spain’s fresh approach – Without Prado, it’s a big test for their younger generation.
• France and the Netherlands – Both nations have the depth to upset the favourites if the stars align.
Verdict
This year’s Motocross of Nations has all the ingredients of a classic: big names, unpredictable rivalries, and the added drama of a U.S. venue. Whether it’s Team USA looking to reclaim dominance, Australia aiming to defend their crown, or an outsider nation stealing the spotlight, Ironman Raceway is set to deliver a weekend fans won’t forget.
