Late Start, Big Ambitions

Unlike many riders who grow up on dirt bikes from the age of four or five, Ryder Malinoski didn’t get serious about motocross until he was 13. Growing up in Wyoming, Minnesota, he spent much of his youth competing in other sports like wrestling and lacrosse. But once he discovered motocross, the focus shifted entirely. His athletic background gave him the grit and fitness he needed to catch up quickly, and before long, he was racing at a high level.

Breaking Through with Club MX Yamaha

April 2024 marked a turning point in Ryder’s career when he joined the Club MX Amateur Team. The move gave him access to one of the most respected development programs in U.S. motocross, with Yamaha backing, top level coaching, and a pathway to the pro ranks. For a young rider still building his name, this was a huge opportunity, and he’s grabbed it with both hands.

Canadian Nationals: Making a Mark

This summer, Ryder headed north to race in the Canadian Triple Crown Nationals, and it was here that he really showed what he’s capable of. At Riverglade, he delivered one of the standout rides of his career so far, charging to an impressive second place in the opening moto.

While the second race didn’t go his way, tough track conditions and mistakes pushed him back, his first-moto result was enough to make people take notice. Across the round, he showed that he can run at the front against strong competition, finishing inside the top 10 overall on the day.

What’s Next for Ryder?

For Malinoski, 2025 has been about proving he belongs. From his late start in Minnesota to earning a place on the Club MX Yamaha program, and now podium rides in Canada, he’s building momentum at exactly the right time.

He may still be at the start of his journey, but with speed, determination, and the right team behind him, Ryder Malinoski looks like a name we’ll be hearing a lot more of in the years to come.
